Bowe Bergdahl- Captured 6-30-09

Our new collection of Bowe Bergdahl, POW*MIA designs is a very special project, unlike any other we’ve been involved with. On 6/30/09, Bowe Bergdahl was captured in Afghanistan and is currently being held for ransom by the Taliban. He is the only known US Serviceman in captivity.

We were asked to create these designs by a member of the Personnel Recovery team tasked with finding Bowe and bringing him safely home to his family in Hailey, Idaho. Proceeds from this collection benefit Rolling Thunder Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to correcting the past, and protecting future veterans should they become Prisoners Of War / Missing In Action.

American Idol Custom Designs 2012

For the 4th season in a row, Pennyroyal had the pleasure of creating custom designs for the finalists on American Idol. We sat down with each of them and asked, “If you could wear a piece of jewelry every day as a reminder of something important to you, what would it be?”

We recently had the pleasure of making a pair of custom star cuff links for a customer’s upcoming wedding. Not only is the shape of the star an exact replica of a tattoo the groom has, but to make this design extra personal, the bride-to-be wanted us to put “I do!” on the back button in her own handwriting. Cool idea and they turned out great!

The Alphabet Collection

In a few days, we will be releasing a brand new, completely customizable collection to the Pennyroyal line called “The Alphabet Collection. You will be able to order silver and bronze initial pendants and choose the style and length of chain you would like them to hang on and we will build your custom creation for you!

A portion of the proceeds from The Alphabet Collection will benefit literacy programs through DonorsChoose.org. For every pendant purchased, we will buy a book for a child in need. The launch of The Alphabet Collection will be announced in just a few short days.

Holiday Custom Design Spotlight

While you won’t find us storming the shelves at the local big box at midnight on Black Friday, this whole “Cyber Monday” thing is definitely something we can get behind.
This weekend was our very first official participation in a ‘Thanksgiving Weekend Sale’ and it was everything we expected and more. Thanks for all your enthusiasm about the sale… and for keeping the pushing and shoving to a minimum.
Lets do this again next year, shall we?

Pennyroyal On The Cover

We made a really cool wing earring for James Durbin when we met him on the American Idol set last spring. He still wears it every day and it even showed up the cover of his debut album ‘A Beautiful Disaster’ that was released today.
James’ wing design is the newest Pennyroyal Signature Collection release and its available to order through December 16th, 2011.
Proceeds benefit the national Tourette Syndrome Association.

The Adam Lambert Peace Pendant raised $50,000 for The Trevor Project!

This week I went to NY to meet the amazing people at The Trevor Project and present them with the $50,000 donation.

I also took the Peace Pendant contest winner and 5 friends to dinner.
Amazing food with a bunch of fun people!
“The Culinary Adventure” at Tao in NY.

The ‘secret prize’ was an official, certified Adam Lambert Aftermath plaque.
